SOHO Miami Destination Wedding
Kelly Helfet and Jon Raum tied the knot on January 25, 2020. The Bride wore a custom-made Oscar de la Renta wedding dress. Guests traveled from all over the world for this wedding, including India, London, Germany, Ireland, and the USA.
At St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church in the Spanish Monastery, pews were adorned with hydrangea flowers and greenery. The reception tables had a trellised canopy of foliage and an awe-inspiring pastel tablescape. Lighting complemented the decor.
The Bride wanted a spring wedding in the winter. The decor included pinks and blues. The centerpieces were full of hydrangeas, roses, hyacinth, stephanotis, japonica ranunculus, and a few greens. They also constructed hanging structures to cover each table, allowing them to hang vines, greenery, and beautiful tea lights. The bouquets were made of anemones, ranunculus, and roses.
The cake had three tiers, each with a distinct flavor. They included carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, banana cake with cream cheese and Nutella buttercream, and lemon raspberry swirl with raspberry buttercream and coconut filling.
At the wedding, which took place on the Chinese New Year, we passed out custom-made fortune cookies. We also had late-night bites after the dancing had started, and we served the bride's favorite popcorn and the groom's favorite butter pecan milkshakes, among other options (milk and cookies, mini Croque Monsieur, etc.).
